How we work ↗
Working through a school’s strategy and content direction
Start with the school. Understand the families.

Where we began

A gap between educational value and market understanding.

UK independent schools create rich educational value every day. Yet in another market, that value is not automatically understood. Families encounter unfamiliar language, distant institutions and a high-stakes decision shaped by trust.

UKinsight was created to make that value understandable and relevant across cultures, then turn understanding into a direct, lasting market capability for the school.

The founder’s journey

Experience on both sides of the decision.

In 2005, Ardis Wang arrived in the UK as an international student. She remembers what it means to encounter an unfamiliar education system from the outside: the questions families carry, the cultural cues they may miss and the trust required before a distant institution can feel like the right choice.

That experience still shapes how she works. She begins by listening closely to the school, understanding what it genuinely values and finding a way to make that value meaningful across cultures without flattening its character into generic promotion.

“Having once arrived as an international student, I understand that choosing a school is never only an information decision. It is a decision built through understanding, confidence and trust.”

Over nearly two decades, Ardis has built education ventures and delivered cross-cultural work spanning school partnerships, student programmes, market development and content production. Her projects include a 96-episode EYFS-informed physical education series for young children, the adaptation of international education products for the UK and China-facing programmes developed with British school leaders.

Her approach is practical and persistent: stay close to the detail, test ideas in the real market, learn from how families respond and keep refining until the work is credible to the school and useful to its audience.

Testimonials

I have known Ardis since 2013 and have always found her to be professional, trustworthy and well-informed. As a Headteacher, I worked with Ardis to place Chinese students in both the UK day schools which I led. Ardis took time to understand the nature and educational vision of each school and built strong relationships with key members of staff. This allowed her to match students and schools effectively and ensure successful outcomes for both. She is immensely capable and experienced and has detailed insight into UK schools and education and into the needs and aspirations of Chinese families.

96 episodes

Selected work · Content development

A learning series built for sustained engagement.

LGA is a 96-episode physical education video series created for children aged three to six in Chinese kindergartens. Developed in line with the EYFS, each episode uses a different theme and story line to turn curriculum objectives into engaging, repeatable screen content.

The project brought together curriculum interpretation, format design, story development and consistent production across an extended series—experience that now informs how UKinsight plans and produces school content.

Stay close to the school.
Learn from the market.

We begin with the school’s educational character, plan and deliver the work, then use family response to refine what comes next. The account, content, relationships and insight remain with the school.
