Content and Digital Behaviour

Chinese social media is not an advertising channel

A common assumption we often encounter is that Chinese social media functions primarily as a promotional space. In practice, it operates much more like a research and validation environment especially on the RED. Families use it to understand schools, compare experiences and quietly build confidence over time.

This is why highly promotional content often performs poorly, while simple, informative and consistent presence tends to have a longer-lasting impact.
