One of the most memorable moments during our recent visit to West Buckland School was not the buildings or facilities, but the people and the stories they shared.
Vincent, a student from China, spoke confidently about his EPQ project — openly sharing both the challenges he faced and the skills he gained along the way. His reflection perfectly demonstrated the impact of an education that encourages independent thinking, resilience and curiosity.
Another meaningful highlight was the tree planted for Zhongshan Huachen School to mark this visit — a simple but powerful symbol of growth, connection and long-term partnership.
Visits like these remind me why genuine cultural and educational exchange matters. It is not just about showcasing schools, but about creating moments of understanding, inspiration and shared values.
Many thanks to the team at West Buckland School for such a warm welcome and thoughtful arrangements — particularly Jade Gower for the excellent coordination.
