What running Chinese social media accounts for UK schools taught us about trust?

After working closely with our partner schools on their Chinese social media presence, one thing became very clear to us:

💡 Trust is rarely built in visible moments.

What often surprises us is how quiet engagement can appear on the surface. Families may return to the same content over months, long before any enquiry is made. When impact does appear, it shows up later — in the confidence and clarity of conversations, rather than in immediate metrics.

Recently, a parent based in Japan contacted one of our partner schools’s RED account to explore a one-term placement for her child, with a view to longer-term study if it proved a good fit. She mentioned she had been following this account for nearly a year — without ever reaching out.

There was no single moment that prompted the enquiry. Just familiarity built quietly over time. And in our experience, that is often how trust works.
