Over the past eighteen years, I have had the privilege of working closely with Chinese families, students and UK independent schools. Much of this work has centred on communication — understanding how parents see their children’s education, how young people experience new cultures, and how schools can express who they are with clarity and warmth.
This year, I have begun to focus more intentionally on cross-cultural education communication and media strategy, especially on how UK schools can connect with Chinese audiences through thoughtful storytelling. It has reminded me how important it is for messages to travel not just across platforms, but across cultures — in ways that feel authentic, human and genuinely understood.
My aim is simple: to help schools express their values in ways that resonate with the families they hope to reach, and to bridge some of the gaps that can appear when educational ideas move between different cultural worlds.
If you work in this space — or if you are curious about how schools can communicate more effectively with Chinese families — I would love to connect.
